He was married to Gertrude B. Guy on September 9, 1941, they had two children Wesley Guy and Carol Jean.
John was employed at the Detroit Board of Education for several years and was greatly admired by his co-workers.
John is my mother's brother. He is my favorite uncle. Uncle John didn't live far from us so we saw him all the time, he would come to see my mother and we would visit his house for dinners and his annual father's day picnic. He could cook the hell out of some ribs and his wife my aunt Gertrude would lay out all kinds of side dishes and she still makes the best deserts ever. The two extra pictures are with John and his sisters and brothers.
