Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma K. Filbey, 86, of 92 Forest Ave., will be held Wednesday t 10:30 a.m. at Cathedral Church of St. Paul.
The Very Rev. John Gulick and the Rev. Canon Edgar Wallace will officiate.
Burial will follow at Avoca Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Candlish –Mach Funeral chapel.
Mrs. Filbey died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1986, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 13, 1900, in Cedar Grove, a daughter to William and Dalia Voskuil Huenink. On Aug. 8, 1923, she married Arthur H. Filbey in Cedar Grove.
She graduated from Carroll College, Waukesha, in 1921, then taught two years at Beaver Dam High School. She lived in Humbird from 1923 to 1925 before coming to Fond du Lac. She was a member of Cathedral Church of St. Paul, a member of St. Monica's Guild, and the Women of the Cathedral. In 1955 she served in the Diocesan Board.
Mrs. Filbey was also a member of Fond du Lac County Chapter No. 70, Order of Eastern Star, Bessie Watson past matron club, and Chapter K P.E.O. Sisterhood.
Survivors include her son, Allen H. of Baton Rouge, La., four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death on June 1, 1985. She was also preceded by a son and one sister.
