William Woodrow Burress, 95, Raywick, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at his residence.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, George Proctor and Mary Lizzie Harris Burress; five brothers; Lloyd, Edward, George, Fred and Bill Burress; and four sisters, Flossie Scott, Inez Pickerill, Mildred Morris and Mina Scott.

Survivors include: his wife, Elizabeth Scott Burress; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Bill Shofner of Gleanings; and two grandsons, Derek Newton of Gleanings and Willie Newton and girlfriend Kristin Mattingly of Raywick.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at the Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, Lebanon, with burial in the Highview Cemetery. Bro. Dewayne Howell officiated.

Pallbearers were Brandon and Patrick Scott, Mitchell and Mike Shreve, Corey Thompson, Garness Willard and John Seward.
Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home, www.campbell-dewittfuneralhome.com, was in charge of the arrangements.
