She was never married to Mathias Kapp, who was her father in law. She was married to Peter Kapp, and their children are listed. They are all buried together. Catharina, Peter, and the all but one of the children in the list perished in the Rockdale Flood on July 5, 1876. Her youngest son, Joseph was put into an orphanage at the age of 5 by his uncle who claimed he had no family. Joseph died at age 9 from complications from being kicked in the head by a horse. Three of her sons survived the flood, Nicholas, John and Joseph. Nicholas is my great grandfather.
