Opal Lee Adams
Opal Lee Adams, age 99, of La Crosse, died in the Bethany-St. Joseph Care Center on Friday, July 14, 2000. She was born in Texas on July 11, 1901, to Calvin and Elena (Allred) Rowland. She had married William Adams and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Erie (Ann) Hedgcoth of La Crosse; two daughters, Lavonia Sterling and Marie Winters, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; four grandchildren, Steven, Robert and Laura Hedgcoth and Christine (Matt) Wright, all of La Crosse; three great-grand children, Jana Chestnut, Tammy (David) Korish and Elise Wright, all of La Crosse; and two great-great grandsons, Devin Chestnut and Cody Korish, both of La Crosse.
Services will be held in Bakersfield, Calif. The Sletten McKee Hanson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

She married John E. Ferguson on June 1, 1929 in Altus, Jackson Co., OK.
She married Jessie A Oden on Apr. 9, 1960 in San Louis Obispo, CA.
She married William Richard Adams on Sep. 16, 1967 in Nipomo, San Luis Obispo Co., CA.
