Robert Almasie
DEADWOOD — A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Triangle Lake Grange for Robert Gordon Almasie of Deadwood, who died March 1 of age-related causes. He was 88.
He was born May 23, 1922, in Eugene to Joseph and Eva Wheeler Almasie.
He was a veteran of World War II. He worked as a logger and a millwright.
Survivors include three sons, Larry of Rice Hill, Robert of Arizona and Michael of Deadwood; a daughter, Laura Bransom of Medford; nine [10] grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
His wife of 60 years, Marian Almasie, died Feb. 20, 2010.

Robert Almasie's ten grandchildren are: Scott and Chris (children of Larry Almasie); Teneil [spelling uncertain] (child of Robby Amassie); Amy, Jennifer, Bobbie Jo and Christopher (children of Mike Almasie) and Pam, Windy and Tami (children of Laura Bransom).
