Retired Pumper, 70, dies here Monday
John Smith Alexander, 70, died yesterday afternoon in a local hospital. He was a retired pumper and had made Pampa his home for nine years. Before retiring he was connected with the Hickory Oil company here.
Survivors are the widow, a daughter, Mrs. E.H. Lee, Drumright, Okla., three sons, Floyd A. Alexander, Pampa, F.H. Alexander, Borger, and Carl Alexander, Palo Pinto, Tex.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Assembly of God church with the Rev. H.E. Comstock, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery under the direction of Duenkel Carmichael Funeral home.
