Joyce Evelyn Stallings was the 2nd child of 11 born to Thomas Melton and Mary Elizabeth McLain Stallings. Joyce was born August 13th, 1923 at Albany, Bryan, Oklahoma. She died 24, Dec 1986 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Grayson, Texas. She was 63 years old.

After finishing high school, Joyce moved to Sonoma, California and joined the Womens Army Corp (WAC) 29 March 1945. Joyce worked at Perrin Air Force Base, in a Civil Service position, until it closed.

Joyce is the mother of James Rodney Rogers Williams and Nancy Jo Williams. Sister of; Wanda, Opal, Betty, Emogene, Tom, Janis, Mack, Carolyn, Marilyn and Dalton Stallings.
