She was born October 16, 1943 in Pocatello, Idaho the daughter of Thomas R. and Laurine Naef Hancock. She was raised in Downey, Idaho and has lived the past 38 years in Layton.
LaNada married Douglas L. Cheshire on September 15, 1970 in the Logan Temple.
She was an active member of the LDS Vae View Ward, serving in many church callings. LaNada served a mission in the Central British Mission.
LaNada enjoyed family history and homemaking.
Surviving are her husband Douglas, four sons, Scott (Casey) Cheshire, Layton; Sheldon (Shauna) Cheshire, Ogden; Shane (Catherine) Cheshire, South Ogden; Spencer Cheshire AuD., Boise, ID; two daughters, Sharla (Ron) Carlson, Clearfield; Shalyn (Tim) Luker, Farmington; 17 grandchildren, two sisters, Laretta (Robert) Beesley, Clinton; and Laralee (Larry) Ganske, Connell, WA.
Preceded in death by her parents and brother Terry Hancock.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Layton West Stake Center, 1600 No. 1715 W. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
