Mrs. Rebecca Bell Sherrick died Monday evening at the home of her sister, Mrs. John Ireland, of East Crawford street, after a brief illness. Mrs. Sherrick was one of the oldest residents of this town, being aged about 90 years, and had spent the greater part of her life here. She was a devout member of the First M. E. Church, being the oldest lady member of the congregation. Her direct survivors are a son O.G. Sherrick, of Memphis, Tennessee, and three sisters, Mrs. John Ireland, of East Crawford street, Mrs. A. Runnion of North Jefferson street, and Mrs. James Fagan of Middletown. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, at the Ireland home. Interment at the Tomlinson cemetery.
