Marilou Abernathy, 80, of Colonial Columns Health Care Center, Colorado Springs, died at 10:30 a.m. December 9, 2004 at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born in 1924 at Ottumwa, Iowa and married John Abernathy there in 1948.
Survivors include her son and his family; Blane, Christina, Lukas and Landon Abernathy, all of Colorado Springs. Also surviving her is a sister, Caroline Boucher of Rhode Island. Mrs. Abernathy was preceded in death by her husband, parents and five other sisters.
A memorial service will be at St. Gregory Episcopal Church in Littleton, Colorado on Sunday, December 26, at 2:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established to the church choir.
