Obituary on the sports page of The Saint Paul Dispatch, Feb 20, 1943: "Services for Bud Corrigan To Be Here - Funeral services for Lt. Edmund (Bud) Corrigan, former Cretin high school and St. Thomas athlete who died in the Seattle Naval Base hospital on Feb. 16, will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from St. Patrick's church, 471 Magnolia ave.
Lt. Corrigan played football at Cretin in 1930 and 1931 and was Cretin lightweight Golden Gloves champion in 1932. He attended St. Thomas college where he was a member of the football squad and lightweight boxing champion in 1933 and 1934.
He graduated from the University of Minnesota medical school in 1939. [Bud and Eleanor were married in Detroit, Michigan, while he was serving his internship at Detroit Receiving Hospital.] He entered the military service in 1941."
