Henton Douglas Simmons, 73, of Webster, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009 in Leesburg, Fla. He was born Jan. 16, 1936 in Haycotte, Ala. He was an owner/operator of a construction company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Webster. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Freida Simmons; sons, Ronnie (Jana) Simmons, Donnie (Wanda) Simmons, all of Webster; sister, Lois Grey of Center Hill; brothers, Hubert Simmons of New Port Richey, Bobby Simmons of Center Hill, Billy Simmons of Bushnell; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Purcell Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Webster on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at 11 a.m. Pastor Hoss Moore will preside.
