Maud Harrison Lee, daughter of Henry James and mary Jane Harrison was born on Feb. 29, 1888 at the family homestead northeast of Cambridge.
She resided there until her marriage to John Lee in 1907. To this union were born six children, Mrs. Paul (LaVaughn) Well of Maxwell, Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Holsteen of Lancaster, Calif; Gayle and Carol Lee of Cambridge. The other two children, Wayne, and Wallace, preceded her in death.
Besides her immediate family she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Buell of Des Moines and Mrs. Queene Buland of Cambridge, three brothers, Walter of Prairie City, Ray of Des Moines and harry of Cambridge; also fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was affiliated with the Methodist Church of Cambridge and the Women's Society of Christian Service. To thes she was a faithful member.
She will be remembered as kind, gentle, loving, and a devoted mother and grandmother. Blessed be her memory.
Funeral Services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Cambridge Methosidt Church for Mrs. Maude Lee, 73 who died Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at her home in Cambridge. Rev. J.E. McClellan officiated.
Mrs. Earl McHone sang two songs "In The Garden" and "God Will Take Care of You" accompained by Mrs. John Dyer at the piano.
Mrs. John Scott and Mrs. Kermit Griffith had charge of the flowers.
Casket bearers were L.J. Martin, Emmett Scott, Ora Groseclose, Lester Cook, Harry Harrison and Harold Banks.
Burial was in the Cambridge Cemetery.
