Carrie was givin the last name of pace but her Father was known to be Calvin Lee from Marion County South Carolina. Her mother Rachael Pace was the Daughter of Julia Pace of Marion South Carolina. It was known that Rachael’s Mother Julia once worked for Calvin on his farm and later Married Rachael. Rachael did keep the last name of Pace but records showed she was married to Calvin Pace but it was not put in as Lee. . The same year Calvin Lee passed away Rachael and Carrie their Daughter moved to Laurinburg where Calvin’s son was at and brought Calvin’s other son with her to join his brother. One of the the brothers name was Capt. Lee.
