Mrs. Maude Jeanette Harris Blevins age 89, of Crumpler, NC died on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Blevins was born July 15, 1922 in Tazwell County, VA to John and Nell Harris. Mrs. Blevins was preceded in death by her husband: Willie Bart Blevins, 3 sons: Walter Wayne Blevins, Denford Blevins & David Benny Blevins, 1 daughter: Ola Blevins Myers, 6 sisters & 2 brothers. Mrs. Blevins lived in Harford County for 58 years. She loved sewing, gardening and canning. She had a very outgoing personality and loved spending time with children. Many people who knew her affectionately called her Granny. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Chapel and Baptist View Baptist Church in MD.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 11:00 am at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dean Shepherd. Burial will follow in Scott-Blevins Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Badger Funeral Home.

Mrs. Blevins is survived by: 2 Daughters: Betty Richardson and husband Jim of Crumpler, NC & Lois Blevins Knopp of Bel Air, MD; 1 Brother: Jack Harris of Ashland, VA; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
