John G. Briscoe, 422 Olive Street, Butler, passed away Monday, May 18, 1964 at the Bates County Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Briscoe was born in Howell County, Missouri on December 23, 1900, the son of William T. and Alice Mae Steele Briscoe. He had been a resident of Butler for the past 25 years, operating a produce business.
He is survived by his wife, Nannie, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Edna) Beckham, of Butler and two grandchildren; one brother, Alonzo Briscoe of Jamaica, New York; two sisters, Mrs. Dale Board and Mrs. Opal Darr, both of Foster.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, May 21, at the Culver-Underwood Chapel with the Rev. Sodowshy and Leroy Beckham officiating. Interment in Oak Hill cemetery.
