My childhood friend Jan DITTMAR was born February 2, 1932 in LOOSDUINEN,a little Village near the HAGUE in HOLLAND.
For some years We visited the same School.
Jan served for His duty from 1952-1954 proudly as Sailor in The ROYAL DUTCH NAVY.
Look at the picture on this page and you see Jan (right side)as SAILOR and Henk J.ORIE as a ROYAL DUTCH MARINE.
He was a very nice and humourfull Guy and a very good comrade.
After a sometimes difficult life Jan died much too young only 46 years old on March 5th.1978.
But Jan is NOT forgotten!
Old Sailors never die.....they just disappear behind the Horizon.
Rest in Peace dear Jan and Thanks for beeing my Friend!
