TRION, GA - Donnie L. "Pops" Cabe, 60, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011.
He was born in LaFayette, GA on April 22, 1950.
Mr. Cabe was an employee with Ball Metal Container, a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Past Master of Western Masonic Lodge 91, and former Boy Scout Master of Troop 92.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Louis Cabe; stepfather, Clifford Ellis.
Survivors include his loving wife, Reita Cabe, of Trion, GA; mother, Janette Strickland Ellis, of LaFayette, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy Thomas and Lynn Cabe, of Rock Spring, GA, Matthew Taylor and Amy Cabe, of Trion, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Jim Brown, Melissa and Tommy Watson; brother, Rodney L. Cabe, all of LaFayette, GA; grandchildren, Autumn and Levi Thomas, Colton, Morgan and Kamryn Cabe; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2011, in Hall Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Jennings officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. today and prior to the service on Friday.
Active Pallbearers will be Cole Thomas, Chase Thomas, Jon Baker, Andy Baker, Caleb Reynolds and Jeff Nave.
Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, LaFayette, GA.
