William Michael Hutts is the son of Bluford Hutts and Rebecca Hepustoel.

The following is from a Montgomery county, Mo. newspaper:

Mr. William M. Hutts, an old citizen of this county, was born in Callaway county, Mo., April 20, 1836, and died after a severe illness of six weeks at his home two miles northwest of Minneola, Monday morning, Feb. 8, 1915, aged 78 years, 10 months and 12 days. He was married in early manhood to Miss Mary A. Hicks of this county. To this union was born four children, all of whom died in early life. His wife also departed this life soon after the death of their youngest child. Some three years after this he was united in marriage to Mrs. Elizabeth (Hunt) Ellis. To this union was born three children, two sons and one daughter. One son, and the daughter died in infancy. One son, Leslie Hutts of Callaway co. survives him. His second wife died leaving him with one little boy, and on July 8, 1876, he was again united in marriage to Mrs. Hannah S. Wilkes of this county. To this union was born four children, one son and three daughters, the son and one daughter preceded their father to the "land beyond". Two daughters, Mrs. Alice Castleman of Williamsburg and Mrs. Maude Love, who resided with her father.

In early life he professed religion and united with the Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, but later in life he moved his membership to Minneola Baptist Church. He was a good man. During his last illness all was done that could be done for him by a dear wife and a loving son and daughter, and kind neighbors.

After funeral services conducted at the cemetery by Rev. R. E. McQuie, Tuesday afternoon, his body was laid to rest in the Bryant grave yard."
