Mr. Worley was a native of Madison County, born June 5, 1927, and had lived in Buncombe County since the early 1980s. He was a son of the late Burnett Carlton and Hannah Bell Capps Worley. He was also preceded in death by a son, Hubert Worley; two brothers, Layfayette and Lamer Worley; two sisters, Gelema Worley and Sylvia Freeman; and two infant siblings. He was a retired farmer and a member of Light of Life Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Glenna Davis Worley; three sons, Everette Worley and wife Janet, B.W. Worley and wife Sarah, and Dean Worley and wife Nancy l; two brothers, McKinley and Cleates Worley; two sisters, Novena Buckner and Rosetta Worley; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Marie Worley; and several nieces and nephews.
