Funeral services for Mrs. Janie B. Jaro Cowan, 77, of 1421 Stovall St., who died Friday in an Augusta hospital after an extended illness will be held at 3 p.m. today at Trinity on the Hill Methodist Church.

The Reverend Jack R. Boneman will officiate. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park.

A native of Edgefield County, S.C., she was a member of Trinity on the Hill Methodist Church. She was the widow of Hiram Eugene Cowan and had lived in Augusta 54 years.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. J. C. Stone, Parksville, S.C.; brother Gary Jaro, Winston-Salem, N.C.

Paulbearers will be Elridge Gibbs, Carl Bagby, Roger Bagby, Vann Horne, Dr. W. O. White and C. L. Hodges, Jr.
