Mike will be remembered for his sense of humor and quick mind. Prior to an accident in 1998, which left him partially paralyzed, he enjoyed sports, reading, traveling and family gatherings. He was a caterer and published the Dining Guide, a cookbook, and a weekly newsletter. He owned the Cakery, which specialized in wedding cakes and gourmet desserts. Mike loved to fish, play tennis and spend time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hudnut; sons, Peter and Stephen Hudnut (Danielle); mother, Anne Hudnut; father, former Mayor William H. Hudnut, III; brothers, Timothy, William, Theodore ( Amy), Christopher; and his 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Laura (Hudnut) Reed.
The family wishes to thank the south side Waters of Indianapolis Nursing Home, St. Vincent Hospice and Patty Bostic for their support.
A Memorial Visitation will be Monday, February 14, 2011 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel. Interment will be in a family cemetery in the Adirondack Mountains.
