NASCAR fan enjoyed horses, was Avon Lady
Barbara A. Thomas, 62, of Mill Street, Catawissa, died early Friday morning, Feb. 11, 2011, at her home.
She was born June 10, 1948, in Bloomsburg, the daughter of the late Donald Sr. and Mae E. Hashagen Thomas.
Barbara graduated from Southern Columbia Area High School in the Class of 1968.
She worked for Milco Industries in Bloomsburg, and The Bloomsburg Health Care Center, until retiring. She was also an Avon Lady.
Barbara was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Catawissa.
She loved her dog, Smokey, horses, NASCAR and reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Thomas Jr., who died in 2003. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, Feb. 14, 2011, at 2 from Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 116 Church St., Catawissa, with the Rev. Gretchen M. Johanson officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Catawissa.
Visitation for friends will be held Monday afternoon from 1 until the time of the service at the church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Allen R. Horne Funeral Home, 193 McIntyre Road, Catawissa.
