Alice M. Hiscox

Alice M. Hiscox, 75, died Sunday, March 3, 2002, at her residence in Greenwood.

She was born May 1, 1926, in East Chicago. Her father was Walter R. Remley. Her mother is Edith V. (Flowers) Remley of West Lafayette. She married Richard A. Hiscox on July 24, 1975, in Indianapolis. He survives. Other survivors include four daughters, Diane Noble of Berthoud, Colo., Judy M. Lowell of Ledyard, Conn., Leslie C. Rennell of Cleveland, Ohio, and Susan N. Deverall of Pittsboro; two sons, Richard R. Hathaway of Bellvue, Wash., and Andrew A. Hiscox of Chanhassen, Minn.; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter D. Remley, in 1996.

She worked as a manager for Prudential Insurance Co. for more than 25 years before retiring.

She was a member of West Lafayette Order of the Eastern Star, West Lafayette High School Alumni, Homemakers Club of Greenwood and PEO. She enjoyed gardening and needlework.

A service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.
