Thomas Henry Poston, 63, of Sparta, passed away June 2, 2002, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Poston was born Aug. 21, 1938, in Sparta, to George Dewey and Sara Emaline Flatt Poston.

He was a truck driver. Poston was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Poston; one sister, Shirley Simpson and his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Jernigan Poston of Sparta;
two daughters and one son-in-law, Teresa and Anthony Hutchings and Denice Poston all of Sparta;
two brothers, Carl Poston of Quebeck and Bill Poston of Sparta;
five sisters, Lucille Goines, Dimple Adcock, Lois Kirby, Christine Kirby and Sue Graham all of Sparta;
three grandsons, Daniel Swift, Zachary Graves and David Graves; and
one granddaughter, Diane Hutchings.

Arrangements:
Services will be held June 4, 2002, at Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery.
