Abraham Strout Berry was to Moses and Lydia (Strout) Berry on the 10 Sept 1801 in Raymond, Cumberland, Maine. In 1822, Abraham married his second cousin Sarah Strout (1800-1860) in Limington, York, Maine. They removed to New Gloucester, Cumberland, Maine. Abraham and Sarah had 4 children:

Almira Berry: b. 1823 d. 1823 New Gloucester, Cumberland, Maine

Jonathan Berry: b. 26 Feb 1825 New Gloucester, Cumberland, Maine; d. 27 Apr 1895 West Poland, Androscoggin, Maine; Jonathan m. *Rebecca Strout of Poland on 24 Aug 1845. Jonathan was named for his parental 2nd & 3rd great grandfathers, who settled in Hampton, New Hampshire area.

George W. Berry: b. 26 Oct 1828 New Gloucester, Cumberland, Maine; d. 18 Jul 1865; Union soldier in Georgia; George m. *Clarissa Strout of Poland on 25 Apr 1849.

Timothy Berry: b. 20 Apr 1832 New Gloucester, Cumberland, Maine; d.11 Nov 1920 New Gloucester, Cumberland, Maine; Timothy (1) m. 13 Apr 1854 Angelia Thurlow of New Gloucester; (2) m. 19 Nov 1861 Mary Jane Farwell of Raymond. Timothy was named for his parental great grandfather and parental Uncle Timothy.

*Two sons of Abraham married Strout sisters of Poland and were their first cousins; Jonathan to Rebecca Strout and George W. to Clarissa Strout. Jonathan and George W Berry mother Sarah is a sister to Rebecca and Clarissa father John Strout IV. Therefore, they all shared one common set of grandparents; John and Rebecca (Strout) Strout III. Yes, their grandparents were 2nd cousin Strout(s).

According to all of Abraham's U.S. Census(s) show he was a life-long farmer in the New Gloucester/Raymond/Poland town-lines of Cumberland County, Maine; area called Webb Mills. The town-lines charged over the years of his life. At the end of his life he lived with his son Jonathan in West Poland, Maine.

Abraham wife Sarah (Strout) Berry died Jan 1860 of TB; her death is listed on the Federal TB Census. Abraham died 21 Jan 1869 West Poland, Androscoggin, Maine. He died at age 67 yrs 4 mos 11 days. He was buried at his son Jonathans' family plot at Highland Cemetery on Megquier Hill Road, West Poland, Maine. The grave of his wife is unknown to date.
