Cowpens, SC - - Billy Gene Addis, 70, of 704 S. Green River Road, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at his residence. Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Linda Lyon Addis and son of the late William Addis and Ruby Mode Addis. Mr. Addis was a retired truck driver and U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a Mason, Shriner and member of High Point Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Derrick Farnsworth of the home, Chris Addis and wife, Bridgette of Gaffney and Patrick Hand and wife, Lisa of Anderson; four daughters, Lisa Atkins and husband, Mike of the home, Mauree Camp and husband, Dale of Gaffney, Debra Gardner and husband, Billy of North Carolina and Renee Harris and husband, Jimmy of Ohio; sixteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Addis. Burial High Point Baptist Church Cemetery
