Lenora M. Baty, age 80, of Springfield, Mo, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Maples. She was born October 26, 1930, in Ava, Mo, to Stonie and Goldie (Prine) Deckard.

Lenora was a Nurse's aide at the Old Mercy Villa. She loved to garden and raise flowers, sing and dance, make quilts, homemade apple cobbler along with pumpkin pie and fried chicken, and taco salad and she also had a knickknack shelf.

She was preceded in death by Stonie and Goldie Deckard nee Prine, two brothers, a sister, and one son, Gene.

She is survived by daughter, Linda Fear, Springfield, Mo; son, Billy D. Deckard, Walnut Grove, Mo; son, Glen J. Baker, Willard, Mo; daughter, Brenda J. Stewart, Springfield, Mo; son, Jim L. Baker, Springfield, Mo; son, Willie T. Baker, Elkland, Mo; daughter, Bobbie M. Carter Elkland, Mo; and 14 grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren, a sister, Glenna Sue of Springfield, and three brothers, Bill, Joe and Dwayne.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. at Greenlawn North Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 2, 2011, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Mo. Visitation will be held from Noon until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
