Son of Solomon Marion Carter and Mary "Polly" M. Ramsey, they are buried at Solomon Carter Cemetery, Madison County, N. C.

October 12, 1900, Madison County, N. C., married May Peek. May and sister Brejetta Mamie Peek, married brothers, John Edward Carter and Jasper Douglas Carter.

At this time I have not been able to find where John Edward Carter was buried.
