Ann Laurie (Moss) Clary, 90, formerly of 404 East Buford Street, Gaffney, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2013.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Drayton McDuffy Clary, Jr. and was the daughter of the late Joseph Hezekiah Moss and Lula (Fowler) Moss.

A graduate of Gaffney High School, Mrs. Clary was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church of Gaffney, and the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Clary was a devoted wife of 50 years and was dearly loved by her four daughters and their husbands. She was adored by her nine grandchildren and recently welcomed into her family her first great grandson, Matt Hendrix.

This fall, Ann's granddaughter and namesake, Ann Ashley, married the step-grandson of a childhood friend of Ann's, Dr. Jess Howard Tate.
Surviving are four daughters, Cindy Louka and husband, Hany of Spartanburg, Celia Wood and husband, Keith of Spartanburg, Sylvia Gallman and husband, Mike, of Fort Mill and Jill Moody and husband, David of Spartanburg; nine grandchildren, Drayton McClary Moody, David Jesse Moody III, Michael Kye Gallman, Carlin Clary Gallman Turner and husband, Hart, Jason McDuffy Wood, Case McKinley Wood and wife, Stephanie, Ann Ashley Wood Wiland and husband, Kenneth, Laurie Kristen Hendrix Wybenga and husband, Daniel, and Tyler Christopher Hendrix and wife, Christine; a great-grandchild, Matt Hendrix.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by eight brothers and a sister.

The family received friends 2:00-3:00 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Blakely Funeral Home.
Interment was in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
