Tommy R. Woody, 61, of Paducah died at 7:55 p.m. Sunday at his home.
Mr. Woody served McCracken County as animal warden for 10 years. He retired from the U.S. Army, where he served in the Vietnam War and received two Bronze Stars with Valor and the Vietnamese Medal of Honor. He was a member of Heartland Worship Center.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah Woody; his mother, Kathleen Woody of Hayesville, N.C.; one daughter, Lecosta Juliann Joyce of Hayesville; two sons, Matthew Wathen and Troy Woody, both of Paducah; two brothers, Tony Woody of Edmonton and Terry Woody of Hayesville; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Woody, and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Frank McCallum officiating. Burial will be at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
