West Decatur- Willis L. Gearhart, 62, a lifelong resident of West Decatur, died unexpectedly at 7:15 p.m. yesterday, Aug. 2, after suffering a heart attack while visiting at the home of his sister. Mrs. Thomas Ginnick at Philipsburg. He had been in ill health for some time.

A son of Orie and Narrie Gearhart, he was born at West Decatur Jan. 26 1906. He was married to Matilda Kaylor at Clearfield in 1932. He is survived by his wife and three children: Mrs. Charles Vieard, Philipsburg; Andrew Lance, West Decatur; and Mrs. Hilda English, Chester. Seven grandchildren and the following sister and brother also survive him; Mrs. Thomas Ginnick, Philipsburg; and Bernard Gearhart, Houtzdale.

He was a member of Philipsburg Lodge No.123, Loyal Order of Moose.

Friends will be received in his late home from 7 o'clock this evening until 2 p.m. Monday when services will be conducted there by Rev. Kenneth Polen. Interment will be in the Bigler Cemetery.
