John Louis Mitchell, life-long resident of the Harmony Community, passed away at his home, Monday, March 14, 2005.

Born January 7, 1925, to the late John Coleman and Essie Polk Mitchell. One of eight children, John Louis is survived by his wife, Rena Byars Young Mitchell, whom he married April 27, 1949; a son, Butch Young Sr., of Searcy; two daughters, Deborah Mitchell of Everton, AR, Cindy Horton of Searcy and two grandchildren, Jennifer Horton of Conway, and Bo Young of Hot Springs.

He was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Mitchell and two grandsons, Scooter Young and Tommy Young, and one brother and two sisters.

Other survivors include two sisters, Dora Downing and Jimmie Bennett; two brothers, Toy Mitchell and Dick Mitchell and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home with interment immediately following at Harmony Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2005 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.
