Ray M. Haley, 84, died August 14, 2003, at St. Joseph Hospital in Asheville, NC. He was the son of Mack and Annie Garren Haley. He was a native and resident of Haywood County, NC and a member of West Canton Baptist Church. Mr. Haley was a member of the Canton VFW Post 5198 and retired as a technician with the NC Army National Guard. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II in the 30th Signal Company. Services were at West Canton Baptist Church with the Reverend James Huey officiating. Wells Funeral Home of Canton was in charge of arrangements and burial, with the 30th Signal Co. serving, was in Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde, NC.
