Sue was born in Fairfield California to Rex and Lucy (Oxenreider) Hudson. There she attended Dover Elementry School and Armijo High (class of 1962). After gratuation she worked at Travis AFB where she met and married Airman Billy Scallorn in 1968. No children were born to the marriage which soon ended.

In the early 1970's she married James "Mac" McKinlay of Vallejo and together they had two boys, Brian and Tate McKinlay. When this marriage ended she moved to Burney California with her two sons. In the late 1990's Sue's mother suffered a minor stroke and soon after her parents moved to Redding California. Sue left Burney and relocated to Redding to be close to her mother.

While living in Redding she worked for Shasta County DA"s Office in Family Support. In order to make ends meet she also worked delivering the Redding Searchlight Newspaper early in the mornings. It was during this time that she was diagnosed with cancer and would begin a long and difficult period of treatments which required her to retire from work.

Sue moved in with her parents and her mother cared for her until Mom passed away Feb. 2007. Sue passed shortly after in Dec. 2007. They are buried side by side as they lived life.

Sue was my one and only sister. May God bless and keep you.
