She married (1) Albert Richard Sears in 1930. They had four children, Albert Richard Jr., Charles T. (adopted), Louise and Darnell. Albert Sr. died 1 January 1943 and on 18 July 1944 in Warren Michigan, "Jo" married (2) Francis "Frank" Foucher, a widower with a son, Bernard.
Their son, Charles T. is a son of Jo's Aunt Zoda McCall on her mother's side; Charles was 9 when they adopted him and his birth mother's married name was Montebelle. She had married a man from Italy when she was just 15, had 3 children with him and was divorced when she was carrying Charles. His birth father was remarried before Charles was born.
Jo and Frank raised the children during their 63 year marriage. Their daughter, Louise was the only child to survive her parents.
They lived in Grass Valley in younger years and made a home in Valley Springs, Calaveras, California in their retirement until returning to Grass Valley to be close to their family, including her brother's family, her daughter's and many grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Jo was happy and active, always helping others and the greatest neighbor and friend God ever created. Our entire community loved her as a "substitute" grandmother, mother, and sister.
