Donald Gillies

Donald Gillies, 37, a former Evansville resident, died Monday at a Madison hospital.


Mr. Gillies left Evansville 11 years ago for Lubback, Tex., where he was connected

with the Humble Oil Co.


Survivors are his wife, Helen; a daughter, Muriel G.; his mother, Mrs. W. N. Gillies,

Madison; and a brother, Philip H., Marlborough Heights.


The body is at the Allen funeral home, Evansville. Funeral services will be held

Wednesday afternoon in St. Paul's Catholic church, the Rev. F. J. Mehigan officiating. Burial will be in Cooksville cemetery.

Donald Gillies, a native of Cooksville died at 2 p.m. Monday in the Wisconsin General hospital after a long illness.


He attended Evansville high school and graduated from the University of Wisconsin where he majored in geology.
