Jesse Alfred Carlile, Jr., age 73 of Liberty City, Tx, passed away Thursday, January 20th after a lengthy illness. Jess was born on November 18, 1937 to Jesse and Ruth Ray Carlile. He served his country in both the US Navy and the US Air Force. He received numerous awards and recognition for his 20 years of service.

Jess loved his family and friends dearly. To him everyone was just a friend he hadn't met yet. He loved Nascar, football, and cheering for his Washington Redskins faithfully. He was an avid sports enthusiast, especially when his grandchildren were involved.

Jess is survived by his wife Earlene Vicki Carlile, his mother Ruth Carlile of Wilmington, NC, sons Doug Carlile and his wife Monique of Burkburnett, TX, Scott Carlile of Wichita Falls, TX, Steve Tuel and his wife Cheryl of Big Sandy, TX, Bruce David Little of Waco, TX, daughters Chris O'Rourke of Burkburnett, TX, Cheryl Jackson and her husband David of Henrietta, TX, Sandra Walsh and her husband Scott of Big Sandy, TX and Cherie Tweedie and her husband Dale of Alton, IL, Sherry Eversole and her husband Stan of Granfield, OK , 26 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, brother Wesley Butch and his wife Carol Carlile of Wilmington, NC.

Graveside services will be held Monday, January 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Lakeview Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
