Suzanne Marie "Suzy" (Deaton) Hoban, 52, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009 at her home in Belleville after a long and courageous battle of cancer.

Suzy was born in Rhinelander to her parents, Jesse and Jean Deaton of Argonne. On Sept. 24, 1983, she married her soulmate, Michael B. Hoban at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Argonne. They moved to Belleville in 1990. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Rebecca Jean Marjorie and Rose Marjorie Jean. Suzy graduated from Crandon High School and Nicolet College in Rhinelander. She was a member of St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Belleville. She owned and operated a daycare (Suzy's Zoo) in her home for many years.

Some of her first children graduated from High School in 2008. Suzy always lived life her way. Her friends and family will miss her wit and wonderful sense of humor. She was caring, compassionate and non-judgmental. She loved all people.

Suzy is survived by her husband of 22 years, Michael; daughters, Rebecca and Rose; sisters, Kathy (Darrel Gerow) of Argonne, Bethy (Jerry) Gibson of Argonne, and Julie Deaton of Crandon; brothers, Jim (Karen) Deaton of Argonne, Dave (Sue) Deaton of Appleton, and Pete (Vicki) Deaton of Neenah; brother-in-laws, Larry (Joyce) Hoban of Port Washington, Ron (Mona) Hoban of Hot Springs, N.C. , Dave (Patty) Hoban of Eau Claire, Steve (Mary) Hoban of Jacksonville, Fla. and Rick (Lori) Hoban of Goodyear, Ariz; sister-in-laws, Sue (Don) Knetter of Gwinn, Mich. Linda (Ricky) Botts of Brooksville, Fla. and Patty (Terry Lawrence) Hoban of Salem, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Jean Deaton; in-laws, Perry and Marjorie Hoban; brother, Michael Deaton; nephew, Jimmy Deaton; niece, Ali Gibson; and special childhood friend, Carol (BZ) Gibson.

Relatives and friends may call at the Weber-Hill Funeral Home in Crandon on June 11, 2009 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. A Catholic funeral service will follow. Burial will be in the Argonne Catholic Cemetery in Argonne.
