Purvis Bryant, 89, a retired painter, died Sunday in a Georgetown nursing home.
Mr. Bryant was born in Horry County, SC. He was a son of William A. Bryant and Moxie LueEllen Lewis Bryant.
He was survived by five sons, Alton Bryant, Carson Bryant, Jimmy Bryant, Billy Earl Bryant, and Donald Ray Bryant, all of Conway; three daughters, Mildred Herring, EvaLee Price, and Donnie Fae Bryant, all of Conway; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday, January 15, 1997, in Gourdines Chapel. Burial, directed by th Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home, followed in the chapel cemetery.
