Stephen Pender Wilson, 82, died at Rex Hospital on May 31, 1946 following an extended illness. Mr. Wilson, who made his home at 901 W. Johnson St., Raleigh since October, 1945 when he moved there to live with a son, had for many years operated a hotel in Fairmont where he was Postmaster in 1913-1921. He had also served as a school principal and superintendent for 27 years. He was a student at the University in 1883-1885. Born at Currituck, April 14, 1864, he was the son of Joseph K. and Amelia (Bell ) Wilson. He married Miss Katherine Matthews on January 21, 1890. His wife; two sons, one of them, Dr. Lawrence A. Wilson' 19 of Absecond, N. J.; one sister; and four grandchildren survive.
