Merle O. Olson
Merle O. Olson, 80 of Aurora Passed away Thursday December 25, 1997 at Meadowbrook Manor in Naperville. He was born March 6 1917 in Aurora. Mr. Olson has retired from the USPO for twenty years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in North Aurora, where he sang in the choir for many years. he served in the Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Olson of Aurora; three sons, Gerald (Barbara) of Elmhurst, Wayne(Dianne) of Hinckley and Jack (Jean) of Austin, TX; 2 daughters, Joyce (Ron) Salfisburg of Naperville and Janice (Bruce) Ballard of Naperville; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; on brother, Wendell(Phyllis) of Sycamore, IL and a sister-in-law, Marion Mallette.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 1997 at the Dieterle Memorial Home. The Pastor Maureen Van Heerden will officiate with interment at Lincoln Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Dieterle Memorial Home.

Contributions in Mr. Olson's memory may be made to the Luthern Church of the Good Shepherd in North Aurora or the Visiting Nurse Association of Fox Valley.
