He graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1927. He married his second wife about 1954 in Houston, Harris Co., TX. In 1969, he was awarded with a Department of the Army certificate for outstanding performance as an attorney/advisor in the Office of Counsel/Patents. He was honored by the State Bar of Texas on 3 Jul 1976 for being a member of the Bar for more than fifty years.
