James "Jim" Teltoe, 74, of Milford died at 7:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Mr. Teltoe had worked at Cash Drawer Co. in Shelbyville and was a member of Hope Community Church of God in Hope. He was an Air Force veteran and enjoyed listening to Christian music, gardening, canning, fishing, going to church functions and spending time with his wife and family.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hope Community Church of God, 650 South St. in Hope, with the Revs. Gerald Hancock and Leroy Reed officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Shelby County.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Decatur County or Hope Community Church of God through Norman Funeral Home, 604 Main St., Hope, IN 47246.

Born in Shelby County May 15, 1931, Mr. Teltoe was the son of Ora and Marguerit Henderson Teltoe. He married Emily Spivey Flannery June 16, 1995, at Norristown Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; stepdaughters, Wanita (Don) Boots, Deanna (Mike) Fortner and Linda Flannery (John) Spurling, all of Milford, Lena Smith (Jack) Garwood and Maurine (John) Remmler, both of Adams, Joyce Maggerd (Jim) Dyer of Connersville, twins Eula (Danny) McComas of Shelbyville and Ella Lamb of Hamilton, Ohio, and Ronda Laggett of Geneva; stepsons, Steve and Ronnie Laggett, both of Waldron; a sister, Nancy (Dean) Wainscott of Shelbyville; 20 stepgrandchildren; 58 stepgreat-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Elsie Gray Teltoe; a sister, Margaret (Tague) Lutz; brothers, Monte, Robert and David Teltoe; and a stepgrandchild, Chad Aaron McComas.
