           CRAB ORCHARD WOMAN DIES
              Pneumonia is Cause of Death
                 of Mrs. Martha R. Goode


Mrs. Martha R. Goode, 60, the wife of Frank H. (Major) Goode, died at the family home at Crab Orchard last night shortly after 8 o'clock, the result of pneumonia of which she became ill last Thursday.

Mrs. Good, the daughter of Peter Snuffer, was born in Raleigh county in 1869, and had passed her entire life in the county. She is the sister of Sparrell and J. O. (Bub) Snuffer, well-known Crab Orchard citizens.

She is survived by her husband, one son, James L. Goode, of Crab Orchard, and four daughters, Mrs. Henry Tencher, of Gatewood, Mrs. James Harris, and Hettie and Ola Goode, all of Crab Orchard.

Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at the Mt. Tabor church at 2:30, with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. J. W. Legg, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Calfee undertakers are in charge of arrangements.
