Donald B. Wade, Sr., 88, passed away January 11, 2011. Born in Eugene, FL, he was a longtime Jacksonville resident and retired machinist. He was a proud veteran of WWII having served in the Army Air Force and was a member of American Legion Post #0034.
Preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Dorothy Wade, he is survived by his current wife, Louise Wade; son, Donald B. Wade, Jr., (Becky) of Covington, GA; brother, David Wade of St. Augustine; sisters, Ruby Sides of Lake City, Gladys Milligan of Lake City and Jean Morris of Orlando; grandsons, Scott Wade (Chana) and their children, Jackson & Gracie of Marietta, GA and Clark Wade (Laura) and their children, Blair & Grayson of Richmond, VA; step-grandchildren, Glenda Prinzi (Martin) of Jacksonville, Brenda McGuire ( Dennis), Tammy Ortagus (Leon); nine step great-grandchildren and two step great- great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan 14th at Jacksonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 AC Skinner Pkwy, Suite 100 Jacksonville, FL 32256. Arrangements are under the direction of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL.
