Joy Daniels
TIPTON - Eva Joyce "Joy" Daniels age 72, of Tipton died Thursday, September 25, 2003, at Herrick Manor in Tecumseh after an extended illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 4, 1931 in Rome Twp. the daughter of William and Beulah (Jacox) Ryan. On December 11, 1949 she married Donal Arthur Daniels in Tipton and he survives.
What Joy cherished most in life was her husband and family, and later in life her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a great joy to her. She was a member of the Tipton Community Congregational Church where she taught Sunday School for many years, and sang in the choir and also served as the Minister of Music for several years. She was one of the original members of the Jolly 18 Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are one son, Stephen (Rose) Daniels of Tipton, two daughters Darlene (Kenny) Elam of Adrian, and Dawn (Danny) Brooks of Tecumseh; eight grandchildren, Douglas, Tina, Tony, Lindsay, Sheila, Theresa, Brenda and Wendy; ten great-grandchildren, Joshua, Hannah, Kyle, Ryan, Travis, Dustin, Nathan, Karley, Jacob, and Caitlyn; one brother Robert (Virginia) Ryan of Adrian. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Edna Lewis, Doris Barrows, Lois Beckel, and Cora Sword; three brothers, Rex, Rial and Gerald Ryan.
Funeral services for Joy will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Harrington officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Twp. Cemetary. Visitation will be on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tipton Community Congregational Church, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or the Arthritis Foundation. Envelopes are available at the Anderson Funeral Home in Adrian.
