William R. Schomer, 59, of Palatine, formerly of Aurora, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2002 at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, Illinois. He was born June 8, 1942 in Aurora.
    William was a 1960 graduate of West Aurora High School. He was employed by Premier Electronics in Schaumburg for the past 14 years.
    Survivors include two sisters, Carol Erdman of Aurora and Diane Schomer of Henderson, Nevada; one brother, Edward (Elaine) Schomer of Batavia; a niece, Laura McClard of Sugar Grove; four nephews, Richard Erdman of Aurora, Erik (Krystal) Schomer of Batavia, and Aaron and Jacob Horvath, both of Henderson, Nevada; one great niece, Janelle McClard of Sugar Grove; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen (Kott) Schomer; his maternal grandparents, John and Rose Kott; his paternal grandparents, Henry and Catherine Schomer; and by several aunts and uncles.
    There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 24, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at Lincoln Memorial Park. Pastor David Foxgrover will officiate.
