Mr. Maurice C. Ward, 64, of 14401 Darnestown Road, Darnestown, died Saturday, Feb. 23, at his residence. He was the husband of Betty T. Ward.
Born in Darnestown, he was a son of the late Maurice and Mildred Clagett Ward.
Mr. Ward had been employed by the Montgomery County school system for 32 years. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served with the Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Monocacy Lions Club and an elder at the Darnestown Presbyterian Church.
Surviving, besides his wife, are one daughter, Katherine Tullier, Annapolis; two sons, Maurice Ward, Rockville and Spencer Ward, Gaithersburg; two sisters, Frances Rodeffer of Vienna, Va., and Hope Craver of Silver Spring; one brother, LaRue Ward, Gaithersburg, and a grandson, Daniel R. Ward.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 25, at the Darnestown Presbyterian Church, Md.
